Hawaii

WOW.

What an amazing time we had. We stayed in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu. When we arrived, we were a little disappointed. there was nothing around but a mall............We're in Hawaii.........eating dinner at a Food Court.........but things soon got better.
The show was pretty cool, but the real fun was meeting 2 marines that helped us out on show day - volunteered!, and then showed us around the Island on our day off.
Rob and Randi helped us set up the show, stuck with us all day, and were just great to us. Try telling a marine to move some cases...it's not easy. I was truly humbled to get to know them and their stories, and will remember their kindness for a long time.
Randi had the whole day planned out. We cruised over to the North Shore to a town called Hale'iwa (don't ask me to pronounce it), had pizza at Pizza Bob's (not Bob's pizza, like you'd think - Kory loves my analysis of this), had some shaved ice at "famous" Matsumoto's, then for the real treat.

We went to Waimea bay, which is the surfing center in Hawaii. It was absolutely beautiful, and so secluded from the overly touristy areas elsewhere on the island. I actually jumped off that rock...I have proof.

We went to Camp Smith, where they live, and got to see Pearl Harbor at night. To hear them talk about it was amazing, and more humbling than I could express. They could never know how much that meant to me.

We went to dinner at Duke's Restaurant and Barefoot Bar, and sat on the beach after dinner.

Rob / Randi... we love you, and cannot wait to see you down the road! You guys are truly our heroes.
