I've been home for a week, and it has been awesome. We've played and hugged, visited family, and caught up on our sleep. (Amanda was really happy to see me sleeping 'til 11am everyday)
This kind of job is tough, being away so much. But the time that we have together is so much richer. When I'm home, I'm home. We have had a month's worth (or more) of quality time this week alone.
Now I'm in O'Hare on a 4 1/2 hour layover on my way to Vienna, Austria. I haven't slept very much...I've developed a "start packing at midnight, the night before" habit.
